LS3 Made a Difference!

It is indeed heartening to read all your comments on your class blog about our R & D and the colloquium. I would like to congratulate all of you whole-heartedly for the great success of our research and the colloquium. The teamwork shown by LS3 was evident. I am glad i played a small role in helping you along the way but it is your own passion kindled for wildlife that saw the colloquium through. The issue of wildlife is very passionate to me personally. I am an animal lover..always have been and always will. When we were told that a research has to be conducted among the Lower PPU students; i grabbed the opportunity to use it to create an awareness of the plight of animals in you and through you, the others.
When i first introduced the topic, i was conscious that not many in the class were keen to do a research on wildlife. Yet, i am truly glad that i succeeded in evoking the enthusiasm in all of you to know more about animals and to just be mesmerised by their free-spiritedness and innocence. When you feel stressed or lonely or sad; i suggest you watch one of the vidoes depicting the beauty of wildlife and i can guarantee you that you would feel relaxed. Only animals have that power to do that...without expecting anything else in return. (Food for thought...)
I am very proud of all of you. It is an honour for me to have you as my students.
I have been reading your personal response to the R & D and some of your comments really touched me to the core. The true success of the R & D lies in the fact that many of you who were not that concerned about wildlife issues before; are truly educated now and believe in the worthy cause to help save wildlife. By reading your personal responses, i have come to know that there are some highly charismatic individuals in LS3.
Many of you have attested that the R & D had helped all of you to cooperate as a class and brought you together. That is really good to hear. I am glad it helped to integrate all of you as a team; though you come from different schools/backgrounds. One of you stated that it made a whole lot of difference to you as the impact made you appreciate the very fact you are doing Pre-U Programme. Those were strong words...
All in all, i can be rest assured all the 26 young adults from Lower Science Three of SMK Cochrane will be committed to save wildlife in whatever way you can...remember..THE POWER OF ONE!
I am sure all the animals would be very happy to know that you are doing your bit to help save them...haha :) You spoke up for them!

Many moments during the colloquium, my soul was profoundly touched again and again

Bear Brother

This is a story from long ago, when the great mammoths still roamed our lands.
It's the story of my two brothers and me.
When the three of us were young, we were taught that the world is full of magic.
The source of this magic is the ever-changing lights that dance across the sky.
The shaman woman of our village told us that these lights are the spirits of our ancestors, and that they had the power to make changes in our world.
Small things become big.
Winter turns to spring.
One thing always changes into another.
But the greatest change I ever saw was that of my brother.
A boy who desperately wanted to be a man...
This is the movie that will make you feel the call of nature.
Watch it!!!
I know it is a long time ago movie.
But, nice movie must watch again right?
